Suppliers Division

The Supply Division is responsible for the purchase, shipment, receipt, inspection and administration of goods, equipment, materials and services necessary for the operation, conservation and in the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. The Purchasing Department assigned to Supplies has the mission to establish and administer the rules, procedures and laws that regulate purchases. In addition, it administers the Registry of Suppliers, which has the function of maintaining a file of natural or legal persons accredited to supply the necessary goods and services or for the purchase of movable or immovable property.





Provider Registration

The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority main interest is to obtain the largest number of suppliers trained to supply goods or services that guarantee competencies in our purchasing processes on equal terms. PREPA has its own Suppliers Registry. Any supplier interested in participating in the procurement processes of the Authority must be part of it. To know our requirements, please access the business nature that belongs. In this you will find the instructions and documents required to enter.


Requirements:

  • Original  Suppliers Registration Form of the PREPA
  • Original  Form of Codes of Materials and Services of the PREPA
  • Original  Affidavit of No Conflict of Interest of the PREPA 
  • Original  Sworn Statement on the Prohibition of the Adjudication of Auctions or Contracts to Legal Persons Convicted of Serious or Less Serious Offenses of the PREPA
  • Original  Acknowledgment of Receipt of the Code of Ethics for Contractors, Suppliers and Applicants for Economic Incentives 
  • Original  Corporate Resolution that indicates the name and signature of each of the directors and officers of the Corporation
  • Original Tax Return Certification for the last 5 years
  • Copy  Certificate of Incorporation (Registration or Authorization to do business) of the Department of State of Puerto Rico (if applicable)
  • Copy  Certificate of compliance with the General Corporations Law (Good Standing)

Instructions:

  • The Registration Form for Suppliers and Affidavits must be completed on a computer or printed and signed in blue ink. It has to be completed in all its parts. There cannot be blank spaces. If there are lines that do not apply to the company, you must indicate it by writing a "Does not apply" or "N/A".
  • The company will be registered with your business name. This is the one that appears on the Certificate of Incorporation in the Department of State of Puerto Rico. 
  • If the space provided in the Supplier Registration Form is not sufficient, you can detail additional information on a sheet identified with the company's logo and include it in the application. 
  • The name and signature of the authorized persons to sign the quotes or offers must be registered and make necessary arrangements with PREPA.
  • The owner, president or highest ranking officer in the company must sign, in the area provided, that certifies as correct the information provided in the Application for Income. You must indicate the title you hold and the date you sign the application. 
  • The Supplier Registration Form will be renewed every two (2) years. If during this period significant changes are made within the company such as: change of name, address and telephone numbers, composition of the Board of Directors, persons authorized to sign the quotes or offers, include or eliminate products and services, you must complete a new application.
  • The Affidavits will not be accepted with alterations or deletions on any of its parts. These will be renewed annually (January to December of the current year). In line eight (8), the date on which its effectiveness begins will be January 1 until December 31 of the corresponding year. If the same is provided after January 1, the document will be effective from the day it is notarized until December 31 of the current year.
  • Important, PREPA reserves the right to evaluate your company at the time it deems necessary.
  • The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority will request a copy of the audited Financial Statements of the last three years when necessary.
  • It is the responsibility of the Supplier to keep his current documents in our Suppliers Registry.

Requirements:

  • Original PREPA Materials and Services Code Form
  • Original Affidavit of No Conflict of Interest of the PREPA
  • Original of the Sworn Statement on the Prohibition of the Award of Auctions or Contracts to Legal Persons Convicted of Serious or Less Serious Offenses of the PREPA
  • Original Sworn Statement stating that your business is individual and your purposes
  • Original Tax Return Certification for the last 5 years
  • Original Acknowledgment of Receipt of the Code of Ethics for Contractors, Suppliers and Applicants for Economic Incentives

Instructions:

  • The Registration Form for Suppliers and Affidavits must be completed on a computer or printed and signed in blue ink. It has to be completed in all its parts. There cannot be blank spaces.   • Copy of the Certification of compliance with the General Law of Cooperative Societies "Good Standing"
